We often lose our power, and it's always during the middle of a murder mystery which remains unsolved forever because we miss the finale. Thankfully we have a gas stove or we'd have many nights without dinner. Anyway, the power ALWAYS comes on in the middle of the night and there's such a commotion as the alarm kicks on, the refrigerator starts beeping, the clocks all start flashing, and the lights start working. At least your goat didn't have to suffer through any of that being safely tucked away in the freezer. Your post is sending my 2009 out in style. Happy New Year! I have been thinking of getting some chickens though. We live up on a hill adjoining a vineyard so we get a lot of critters passing through, deer, foxes, raccoons and the occasional bobcat.kathy gorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03004466498215502039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1669690575334803852.post-50414507191939142182009-12-30T18:10:22.735-08:002009-12-30T18:10:22.735-08:00Kathy, this reminded me of a most interesting arti...Kathy, this reminded me of a most interesting article VIDEO UPDATE: Wisconsin Raw Milk Rally/Court Trial of Max Kane
December 19, 2009 · Leave a Comment

On the eve of a big event, before Christmas, eyes and ears all across the U.S. are fixed on a national spectacle in Wisconsin– formerly known as America’s Dairyland, but still on the vehicle license plates. The event will be Monday, December 21–a big raw milk rally and court case for Max Kane. The crime here is offering raw milk to members of a private buyers club and refusing orders to fork over the supplier and customer list.

Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund, in a strategic, last-minute move, filed a law suit against the State of Wisconsin (their news release is below).

After temporary victories in South Dakota and Massachusetts last week, a Wisconsin win on Monday, could set a national precedent for the rapidly growing raw milk movement. Author and Journalist David Gumpert has more details here.

This is all about the freedom to choose to drink and offer and share clean raw milk from naturally raised cows. It is also about the need and right to consume it as an effective and demonstrated treatment of a host of health disorders and diseases. People’s health depends upon clean raw milk as they have for centuries worldwide. But Wisconsin’s health and agriculture bureaus say no. This new 4-minute video begins to tell the story. (Several sources close to the Journal say a movie is in the making over the U.S. raw milk battle– the centerpiece of the big American food fight.)

http://wholefoodusa.wordpress.com/category/2-family-farm-report-enforcement-and-regulatory-actions/

Do you really have your own goat?
PTpTsaldarihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01371771620841364672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1669690575334803852.post-22052296653984256152009-12-30T15:16:52.767-08:002009-12-30T15:16:52.767-08:00wow frying fresg sage, never thought to do that.
